Alexis Bittar

Fueled by his passion for antiques, including Art Deco Bakelite and turn of the century Lalique glass, Alexis Bittar began designing Lucite and semi-precious jewelry and selling it on the streets of Soho in the early 1980s. The Lucite collection combines Bittar’s love of form, texture, color and light. The Lucite necklaces, bracelets, earrings, pins and rings are a marriage between bold design and high style.

Bittar’s semi-precious pieces combine the finest quality gems-such as sapphire, pink tourmaline, green amethyst and Mabe pearl-with intricate designs. The result is a collection of jewelry that epitomize a refined, delicate aesthetic. Each piece of jewelry is handcrafted and hand painted by skilled artisans, all of whom work out of the designers Brooklyn based studio.
